I have just been discharged by Alex Woollard after 15 months of excellent care involving 5 separate operations. Mr Woollard and his team managed to find a solution to a difficult problem and at the same time they kept my spirits up. Many thanks to them all

Alex Woollard is one of the most caring, sensitive and understanding Doctors I have come across. I was unsure at first as he came in halfway through my treatment, I was of course wary and nervous that this new surgeon would be able to step into my previous surgeons shoes. My fears were unwarranted, from the very first meeting he put my mind at rest. A total professional in his field. He discussed every aspect of my treatment in great detail.. I felt at times he was frustrated that he was not able to afford more time to each patient but with the waiting room bursting at the seams, there was little he could do I cannot praise and thank him enough for what care and service I have received from Alex Woollard.

Dr Woollard has been truly amazing through my whole surgery experience. He's professional, attentive and extremely knowledgeable within his field. I felt valued, and listening to, and I knew I was in expert hands in every stage of my surgery. I've had a challenging couple of years after being diagnosed with Breast Cancer and felt the care I received in the final stage of of journey has motivated me to 'get back to living life' in a positive way. Can't thank Mr Woollard enough!

I saw Mr Woollard today for a check up following my double mastectomy and reconstruction in June and my nipple reconstruction in November. Over the last couple of years, he has seen me on a regular basis and has provided me with reassurance and top notch care and information. In the run up to, and especially on the morning of my mastectomy, I was so anxious and he was a calming, reassuring presence. He has done an amazing job of the reconstruction and was there when I came round after the operation talking me through what happens next and to check on me. For the nipple reconstruction I only had local anaesthetic but he was again very informative and made me feel welcome and comfortable in the operating room, I even got to choose the music playlist! Today we discussed next steps, tattoos, and as always I have come away with all the info I need. I am very pleased with how good my new breasts look. I was not too bothered about having the nipples reconstructed but I am glad I did as it has had a really good effect. I would like to thank Mr Woollard and his team for providing me with first rate care. I can not recommend him highly enough.
